                       Oklahoma Dentist

The quote states "One bad apple spoils the bunch". And in this case, the "alleged" dentist is one of those bad apples. Another way of stating it is we all expect professionals to do what they should do, but there is the 1% out there who doesn’t. Whether it’s cutting costs or ignoring things because they don’t care, there is the 1% who are not professional. For those of you who are not familiar with the case of a Oklahoma dentist who put thousands of his patients at risk for contracting hepatitis B and C as well as HIV.

Comment: When I first heard this story I said to myself there is probably a lot more going on in this office and unfortunately I was correct.

This really makes me furious and I want you all to know that Dr. Slate and Pure Dentistry go above and beyond the standards of care implemented by the American Dental Association and California State Dental Board.

The ADA also issued a press release, which can be found at www.ada.org/8454.aspx.

The ADA has long recommended that all practicing dentists, dental team members and dental laboratories use standard precautions as described in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Infection Control in Dental Health Care Settings guidelines. Studies show that following proper infection control procedures greatly reduces risk to patients to the point of an extremely remote possibility.

We welcome all questions and concerns at anytime.

Thanks again,

Darce A. Slate, DDS

Recent Graduate

For Immediate release:

Local dentist graduates from the prestigious Kois Center

Rocklin, CA, February 1, 2013—Dr. Slate, a Rocklin dentist, completed the comprehensive continuing dental education program offered by the Kois Center located in Seattle, Washington. The nine-course prestigious curriculum requires over 200 hours of continuing education encompassing all clinical areas of dentistry; gums, teeth, bite problems, cosmetics and implants involving both didactic and hands-on training.

“The training that I received at the Kois Center has transformed the way I practice. My ability to provide my patients with long-term dental health solutions has been greatly enhanced. It is now possible to change the lives of my patients by eliminating pain, enhancing their ability to chew and improving their appearance in a predictable fashion,” explained Dr. Slate.

Dr. Slate has always been passionate about dentistry and staying up to date with the latest technology and current techniques. Graduating from the Kois Center has been one of the most challenging and rewarding accomplishments of his career, allowing him to blend all facets of state-of-the-art dentistry into his practice. Now, Dr. Slate is able to develop dental health strategies which may involve braces, gum recontouring, bite reconstructions and smile makeovers all into one very predictable plan.
For the past 10 years, Dr. Slate has practiced in Rocklin California following his training at the University Of California San Francisco School Of Dentistry. His practice is open five days a week and he is currently accepting new patients at his Rocklin office.
